Alexander Lorenzen is building bunk beds for children in our community who have nowhere to sleep — donated completely free through Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
A Life Scout on a mission — ensuring every child in our community has a safe, comfortable place to sleep.
My name is Alexander Lorenzen, and I'm a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 77 DeWitt. For my Eagle Scout service project, I'm leading a team of volunteers to build bunk beds for children in our community who don't have one.
Partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), every bed we build is delivered completely free to a family in need — fully assembled with a mattress, pillows, and bedding. No kid deserves to sleep on the floor.
This project has been officially approved by the Chief Okemos District and Boy Scouts of America. Your donations go directly to materials so we can put as many beds as possible into the hands of families who need them.
SHP is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering hand-made, fully furnished beds to children in need — tackling childhood bedlessness which affects an estimated 3% of the population.
